Logo Anatomy
The PetDesk logo consists of a symbol and a wordmark. The symbol and the wordmark can be used independently or locked up together.
Logo Spacing
Incorporating the PetDesk logo within a design or alongside additional imagery requires careful spacing consideration. This is effectively managed through the strategic use of clearspace and margins.
The concept of clearspace is pivotal for the PetDesk logo’s visual integrity. It represents the essential buffer zone between the logo and neighboring design elements. To determine this space, use the cap height of the lettering in the PetDesk wordmark, identified as X, as your guide.
For a practical example, consider placing the PetDesk logo, with a height of 30px, amidst a group of other logos. Maintaining a clearspace of at least 30px on every side of the PetDesk logo is vital, ensuring its prominence and clarity in the overall design.
Logo Variations
The PetDesk logo has three variations: a full-color logo, a one-color logo, and a one-color logo with a white rule. The most appropriate version of the three variations of the logo should be used based on production requirements, media qualities, visibility, and approved usage. These are the only versions of our logo that should be used for anything.
On light backgrounds, always use our full-color symbol.
Printing one color? Use our black symbol.
On darker colored backgrounds, use our white symbol.
Main Brand Colors
While the PetDesk logo contains many colors, we will only use certain colors on print and digital collateral. The others are available for accents, but should not be used in design work not first approved through the marketing team.
For image background, you have the following (dark) colors. These should be used with bold graphics, all white PetDesk Logo, and white text. The blue and grey should not be used often, but are available to change things up.
#ba77ff
rgb(186, 119, 255)

Background Brand Colors
For image background, you have the following (light) colors. These should be used with bold graphics, dark PetDesk Logo, and dark text. The light grey should be used very sparingly, if ever.
#ffffff

Branding Donts
This is what not to do with PetDesk branding on the website or social media.
Do not use images as backgrounds with text on top of them. Our mission is to showcase our customers, not cover them with text.
Logo Dos and Don’ts
Below are approved versions and uses of the PetDesk logo.
If the background is not white or a light shade of grey, use our black logo.
Do not use our main logo on dark backgrounds.
Do not use our main logo on dark backgrounds.
Don’t use dark grey as a background color unless absolutely necessary.
Font Usage
This is our header text, and the font is Red Hat Display. This is our large font text for graphics. Text on graphics should be used sparingly.
This is our body post text, and the font is DM Sans. This text is meant to be complimentary to our header text. We never want to use too much of this text on the graphic.
Social Media Guidelines
Reminder: PetDesk is no longer just an app. Our platform has a world-class app, an online booking solution, custom websites and marketing, and smart VoIP.
Our posts should be more than just mock-ups; they should be answers to questions, solutions to problems, and proof of what makes us great. If using photos of customers or animals, ensure no graphics or text over their faces. We want to shine a light on our customers and the animals they care for, not cover them with our messaging.
- Product Highlights and Features: Posts that demonstrate the functionality and user-friendly features offered by PetDesk. Use videos, infographics, and screenshots/mock-ups for better engagement.
- Customer Success Stories and Reviews: Share real-world stories and testimonials from satisfied customers. Include quotes, case studies, and video interviews to build credibility and trust.
- Educational Content and Use-Cases: Provide valuable information related to pet care—share statistics, research findings, and infographics that underscore the effectiveness of PetDesk solutions.
